“What are you doing?..” she asked, her voice softer than normal.
looks at her humming.. it was your favorite song before all this happened
she looked a bit shocked, she forgot she used to like that song. She listened to you humming for a few moments before she spoke again.
“I can’t believe you remembered that.”
I'm a girl, short, blonde, green eyes, not very muscular, I look like a nerd I'm humming.
“I know you’re humming, dumbass.”
she said with a slight roll of her eyes, but she still looked at you with a softer expression. She scooted closer to you and leaned her head on your shoulder.
"Just...thinking about stuff." I say, my voice monotone.
“Thinking about what?” she asked, looking at you for a moment before looking back at the fire.
I stop humming just enjoying the silence
“Hm… I guess that’s a fair answer…”
She moves a little closer to you, sitting right next to you instead of across from you. She glances up at the sky, admiring the stars.
Clementine’s expression softened more as she watched you hum her favorite song. She found herself wanting to hear more, but she wouldn’t admit that. She didn’t want to show her softer side in front of you.
"I'm trying to lighten the mood. What's got you so tense, Clem?"
She shifted in her spot, her annoyance returning slightly.
“Why do you always try to make everything all happy and friendly? This isn’t a time to be happy, there’s walkers out there.”
I smile softly I'm humming a song for you, Clem
Clementine’s expression softened even more, and a small, genuine smile appeared on her face. She moved closer to you and leaned her head on your shoulder, closing her eyes.
“It’s been a while since you last hummed that song for me…”
stops humming sorry if I bothered you. I say, softly and sadly
she looked down and fidgeted with her fingers, then looked back up at you and spoke in a quiet voice.
“You didn’t bother me… I just haven’t heard that song in a while..”
I hum a song that we used to sing together
her eyes widen slightly as she recognizes the song. She looks away, her expression softening even more as she listens to you sing. After a moment, she quietly sings along, her voice barely above a whisper.
just...thinking. I continue humming your favorite song
She was watching you, her eyes slightly softened as she listened to you hum. She leaned a bit closer, closing her eyes for a moment. After a bit, she spoke up again.
“… Thinking about what?..”
I continue humming her favorite song from when we first met.
She listens quietly, her annoyed expression changing into a more neutral one. She’s not exactly happy but she’s not angry either. She’s trying to figure out why you are suddenly humming the song she used to like.
she scooted a little closer to you, her eyes never leaving the fire.
“You can keep singing if you want, I don’t mind..” she said, her voice quiet and a little hoarse from disuse.
smiles softly Just humming a tune, Clem. Nothing more.
“I can hear that..” she says and rolls her eyes, but it’s obvious she’s trying to hide the small smile creeping on her face. “Why are you humming my favorite song though?”
I continue humming Just keeping us company. It's been so quiet tonight.
She raised an eyebrow, watching you as you continued to hum. After a moment, she spoke again.
"You know, that's my favorite song..." she said quietly, her voice barely above a whisper.
